Benefits of Chlorophyll and Parsley in Our Sweet Green Juice

Our SWEET GREEN juice is made with organic kale and parsley, both of which are delicious sources of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is often referred to as “green blood” or the “blood of plants”. This refers to chlorophyll’s similarity in make-up to human blood and its high oxygen level.

A diet high in raw chlorophyll delivers a continuous energy transfusion into our bloodstream, strengthening our immune system and enhancing the ability of our red blood cells to carry oxygen.

Parsley is another subtle star of the show in our delicious Sweet Green juice. Often thought of as that little garnish on your plate, which still remains on your plate even at the end of your meal! But when used in juices, marinades and salad dressings, this little herb not only adds some happy, peppery flavor to the blend, but adds so many super potent health benefits as well!

Parsley is rich in vitamins, Vitamin K especially, which is key for blood clotting and bone health. It also is high in antioxidants, known to fight oxidative stress related to chronic disease and aging. Since it is high in folic acid, it is also a good idea to add to your diet if you are planning to get or are pregnant. And did you know parsley is antibacterial as well?! Again, the plant world is just full of preventative and healing abilities! So, get a lot and have a variety!!

We have played with both types of parsley for our Sweet Green recipe...curly and Italian flat parsley, and have settled into our favorite being the Italian flat parsley for its more robust flavor.

Additional ingredients in our SWEET GREEN are kale, apples, and lemon. So, so delicious that some of biggest fans are kids under the age of 10!
